This year has highlighted realities that most of us were not prepared to handle. Especially in the U.S, where I live, the pandemic on a background of systemic racism and climate change has shed light on the multiple fractures of the world we live in.In their latest article (link in bio), @axios made a focus on the mental health impact of this year, based on a study published in JAMA. Curiously, I didn't like the dataviz that illustrated it but I thought some of you would still be interested by the subject. So I made my own. This year has taken a toll on everyone's mental health. As the study concludes: "Individuals with lower social resources, lower economic resources, and greater exposure to stressors (eg, job loss) reported a greater burden of depression symptoms. Post–COVID-19 plans should account for the probable increase in mental illness to come, particularly among at-risk populations."Thoughts for all of you out there struggling. Take care of yourself and your loved ones.Source: @axios & JAMA.#dataviz #datavisualisation #dataart #datahumanism #dataisbeautiful #visualart #dataforchange #chart #infographic #digitalart #outragedart #sociallyengagedart #politicalart #thegraphicspr0ject #aiga #madewithadobe #retroaesthetic #covid19 #mentalhealth #datadoodle #collageart #collage #collagecollectiveco #collagecollective
